Your files are processed on your device and never uploaded. This policy explains what little information we do handle and why.

1. Who we are
TokPDF (tokpdf.com) is operated by David, an individual ("we", "us"), who is the controller of any personal information described in this policy. If you have questions about this policy, contact privacy@tokpdf.com.
2. Your files stay on your device
TokPDF processes PDF and other documents entirely in your web browser using WebAssembly. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see, store or share their content. Files are held in your browser's memory while a tool runs and are discarded when you close or leave the page.
3. Information stored in your browser
Some features save data locally in your browser (localStorage or IndexedDB), such as your theme and language preference, a list of recently processed file names, saved workflows and projects, and signatures you choose to save. This data never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for tokpdf.com.
4. Information collected when you visit
Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical data when you load a page: your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use Cloudflare to host and protect the site and Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across sites and gives us only aggregated statistics (for example page views by country and device, and page load speed). We use this data to keep the site secure and to understand which tools are useful.
5. Resources loaded from third parties
Some tools download resources from third-party content delivery networks when you use them: OCR downloads language data from jsDelivr, and certain fonts are downloaded from Githack (fonts from Google's open-source Noto project). These requests do not include your documents, but the provider receives your IP address as part of the request.
6. Cookies and advertising
TokPDF does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy before doing so and, where the law requires it (for example in the EU, UK and certain US states), ask for your consent first.
7. How long we keep data
Server and analytics logs are kept by Cloudflare in line with its own retention policies and are used by us only in aggregated form. We do not keep any copy of your files.
8. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell or rent personal information. Technical data is processed by Cloudflare, which may process it in countries other than yours under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of personal information, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we do not store your files or create user accounts, we usually hold no personal information that identifies you. To make a request, email privacy@tokpdf.com.
10. Children
TokPDF is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the new version on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
