About This Tool

Extract Pages allows you to select and save specific pages from a PDF document as new files. This is perfect for pulling out relevant sections, creating excerpts, or separating combined documents.

You can extract individual pages, page ranges, or multiple non-consecutive pages. The visual page preview makes it easy to identify and select exactly the pages you need.

All extraction happens locally in your browser, ensuring your documents remain private.

Use page ranges for continuous sections, for example 12-18 for a single chapter, and click individual thumbnails when you need scattered pages such as a summary and one appendix. Check the printed page numbers against the PDF's own page count, since front matter often makes them differ. If you need several separate excerpts, run the tool once per excerpt, or use Split PDF when you want the whole document divided into parts.

Extraction is a way to share only what someone needs: one statement page for a landlord, one chapter for a colleague. TokPDF performs it in your browser with WebAssembly, so the complete document is never uploaded to a server. The new file is created from your local copy within seconds, from any device with a modern browser, and nothing about the source document is stored elsewhere.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I extract non-consecutive pages?

Yes, you can select any combination of pages, whether consecutive or scattered throughout the document.

Will bookmarks be preserved?

Bookmarks that point to extracted pages are preserved in the new document.

Can I extract pages from multiple PDFs?

This tool works with one PDF at a time. For combining pages from multiple PDFs, use the Merge PDF tool.

How do I save only certain pages of a PDF?

Load the PDF, select the pages you want by clicking thumbnails or typing a range like 3-5, 9, and extract. The selected pages are saved together as a new PDF, while your original document stays complete and unchanged.

Can I extract pages from a PDF on my phone?

Yes. Open tokpdf.com in a mobile browser, load the file from your downloads or Files app, tap the pages you need, and download the new PDF. Processing happens in the browser, so you do not need to install anything.

Will extracted pages keep their quality?

Yes. Pages are copied into the new document as they are, without re-rendering. Text remains selectable and searchable, and images keep their original resolution, so the excerpt looks identical to the same pages in the original.

Can I extract pages in a different order?

Extract Pages saves the selected pages in their original sequence. To change the order, open the extracted file in Organize PDF and drag the pages into the arrangement you want, then download the reordered document.
